HURON — The South Dakota State Fair is excited to announce that Farm Credit Services of America (FCSAmerica) has made a $250,000 contribution to the DEX: Dakota Events CompleX.
“The state fair showcases the best of agriculture, including the youth who will one day be leaders in the industry and their rural communities,” said Wes Chambers, an FCSAmerica senior vice president of business development in South Dakota. “Designed to excite and inspire, the DEX: Dakota Events CompleX aligns with our mission to nurture the next generation of producers.”
The DEX will provide exhibit space for over 13,000 4-H and FFA students across the state and expand the event hosting capabilities of the fairgrounds. Throughout the year, the DEX will also serve as a major draw for livestock shows, 4-H competitions, FFA Conventions, and rodeos as well as concerts, thrill shows, and more from across the country.
“Supporting projects that positively impact the communities in which we live and work is one way we can give back to the people we serve and the rural life we value so highly,” Chambers said.
FCSAmerica is a customer-owned financial cooperative proud to finance the growth of rural America, including the special needs of young and beginning producers.
