MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. — Harlan Vergil Nelson, 91, of Minneapolis, Minn., passed away peacefully on July 20, 2022.
Harlan was born Dec. 16, 1930, to Helmer and Jessica Nelson in Brookings. He graduated from Egan High School in Egan, and Rockford College in Rockford, Ill., from which he received a Bachelor of Arts Degree.
Harlan graduated from the Rockford Memorial Hospital School of Medical Technology and worked as a Medical Technologist for 18 years before going into hospital personnel management.
He retired from Huron Regional Medical Center in Huron in 1992, and returned to Minneapolis.
Memorial Service will be held 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 20, with visitation a half hour prior at Mt. Calvary Lutheran, 6541 16th Ave S. Richfield, Minn. Interment will take place at Lakewood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church Preschool.
