HURON – Sioux Falls Washington and Harrisburg won team titles Tuesday night in the Huron Cheer & Dance Invitational at Huron Arena.
Harrisburg put together a final score of 268.50 to far outdistance second place Brandon Valley for grand champion in cheer. Brandon Valley scored 237 and Brookings scored 236 to finish third.
Huron’s cheer squad placed 8th with a score of 183.
Sioux Falls Washington was the clear grand champion on the dance side, with 280.75 team points. Yankton finished second with 269.75 and Harrisburg tallied 268.50.
Yankton won the pom with a 250.5 score and the jazz with a 289 score.
Washington won the hip hop with a 275 score but had the better overall score over Yankton.
Huron finished sixth overall with a score of 229. The Tigers had a score of 235 in jazz and 223 in hip hop.
