HURON — Devin Hunter and Kylee Small each had hat tricks to help the Huron Lady All-Stars to an 8-4 win against Rushmore on Sunday at Bergman Arena.
Small had two goals in the opening period, which ended with the Lady All-Stars holding a 3-2 edge. Hunter assisted on the second goal.
The third goal for Small came in the third period on a pass from Zazalea Rashaad.
Hunter had three of the four goals for Huron in the second period. Rashaad and Small had assists.
Scoring the other two goals for the Lady All-Stars was Jolie Carrillo. The first was assisted by Hunter and Small, while the second was assisted by Rashaad and Small.
Marissa Ready stopped 13 of the 17 shots she faced in the goal to earn the first win of the season for Huron.
On Saturday, Rushmore used six unanswered goals to secure a 7-3 win against the Lady All-Stars.
Small had all three goals for Huron. The first was unassisted, the second came on a power play and was assisted by Hunter and the third was assisted by Rashaad.
Ready tallied 23 saves for the Lady All-Stars, who are now 1-2.
