HURON — Marge Hofer Haskett, 90, of Huron, SD, passed away on Saturday, November 30, 2019, at Avantara Huron.
Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Holy Trinity Catholic Parish in Huron, with burial to follow at St. Martin’s Cemetery in Huron.
Visitation with family present will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Sunday at Welter Funeral Home; or one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday.
Marge Doherty, the daughter of Leo and Margaret (Jannsen) Doherty, was born on April 23, 1929.
Marge married Menno J. Hofer on June 28, 1949 in Huron. She later married Bryce Haskett in Huron.
She is survived by her children, Dick (Joannie) Hofer, Tony Hofer, Judy (Gary) Oakley, and Rose (Ivan) Noack; two daughters-in-laws; as well as 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, and nephews.
Marge was preceded in death by her parents; both of her husbands; two sons, Bob, and Jerry Hofer; and eight brothers and sisters.
