HURON — Susan Munion, 61, of Huron, passed away October 20, 2021, at her home.
Her family will have a private service to remember her life at a later date.
Susan Kay was born September 23, 1960, to Alfred and Merna Jean (Zwanziger) Neiffer in Huron. She grew up in the Huron area and graduated from Huron High School.
Susan and her family lived in Canby, Minnesota for four years, where she worked at Sanford Canby Medical Center in housekeeping. They then returned to Huron.
She lived in Huron most of her life, and she worked at Huron Dressed Beef, the Crossroads Hotel, LSI, Violet Tschetter Memorial Home and lastly at Walmart.
Susan liked visiting with friends and family. She spent her free time watching her extensive movie collection.
She is survived by her father, Alfred Neiffer of Huron; three children, Jennifer and CJ Cayford of Mount Dora, Fla., Travis and Michele Wahl of Canby, Minn., and Vykky Munion of Huron; eight grandchildren; three siblings, Colleen and George Kenas of Ontario, Calif., Karen and Dennis Maggi of Somerset, Pa., and David Neiffer of Huron; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Merna; her grandparents, Doris and Leonard Zwanziger and Anne and John Neiffer; and two nephews, Steven DeLong and Jonathan Maggi.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Kuhler Funeral Home.
