MITCHELL — Beatrice “Joy” Bollock, 79, of Mitchell, passed away Friday, September 14, 2018, at Firesteel Healthcare Center.
Funeral services will be 10:30 am Thursday, September 20, at the Bittner Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m. at the Bittner Funeral Chapel.
Beatrice “Joy” Bollock was born January 16, 1939, in Huron, to LeRoy and Evelyn (Theis) Atz. She graduated from Alpena High School in 1959, and married James Lynch. She married George Wilson in Mitchell. They showed horses at various events around South Dakota. In 1983, she married Ronnie Bollock. They resided on a ranch west of Mitchell where they raised Longhorn Cattle for many years.
She is survived by her siblings, Sharon Sowards of Rapid City, and George Atz of Tacoma, Wash.; three nieces, Dawn Merchant of Huron, Teresa Ertel of Rapid City, and Kelsie Riley of Wash.; Ronnie’s children, Lonnie Bollock, Jackie Bollock and Troy Bollock all of Mitchell, 8 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ronnie; and son, Rick.
