ORIENT — Bonnie Meyer, 82, of Orient, passed away Easter Sunday, April 16, 2017, at the Faulkton Senior Living surrounded by her family.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, April 19, at the United Church of Faulkton. Burial will follow in the Faulkton Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
Bonnie Lee Bent was born September 2, 1934, in Faulkton to Arthur and Lena (Ickler) Bent. She graduated from Faulkton High School in 1952, and went on to receive her teaching certificate.
She was united in marriage to Robert Meyer June 6, 1955. The couple purchased a farm near Orient. She loved gardening and working in her flower beds. She had been active in 4-H.
She is survived by her husband, Robert, of Orient; her children, Linda (Darrell) Bassen of Lamoure, N.D., Wanda (Michael) Danner of Corona, Calif., Tammy (Mark) Elsperger of Bath, and Tom (Kris) Meyer of Orient; 14 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; siblings, Delores Ford, Donna Schmidt, Dick (JoAnn) and Roger (MaryAnn) Bent, all of Faulkton; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was greeted in heaven by her parents, Arthur and Lena Bent and one brother, Charles Bent.
Luce Funeral Home of Faulkton has been entrusted with Bonnie’s arrangements.
