HURON — Charles B. Engelhart, 82, of Huron, passed away on Friday, March 8, 2019, at Avera Sacred Heart Hospital Hospice in Yankton, due to many health complications.
A graveside service will be held at a later date. A family gathering will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Shore Room at the Plains on Saturday for visitation and fellowship.
Charles Bernard Engelhart was born on April 11, 1936, to Hugo and Mary (Gearin) Engelhart in Webster.
He met and married Norma Baumer in 2006.
He is survived by his children, Vicki Stark, Rick Engelhart, Charles Engelhart, all of Tacoma, Wa., and Raymond of Georgia; several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; brother, Duane of Texas, sisters, Jan (David) Miner of Oregon, Donna (Jim) Anderson, and Lois Bult all of Huron.
He was preceded in death by his father Hugo; his wife, Norma; siblings, Elisabeth, Ron and Raymond; infant nephew Don Hallan Jr., step-father, Clarence (Mary) Weiss; sisters-in-law, Marlyn and Nancy; and niece, Ginger.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to the home of Donna (Jim) Anderson, 854 Arizona Ave. SW, Huron, SD 57350.
