HURON — Darwin D. Christman, 67, of Huron, passed away on Monday, November 28, 2022, at Avantara Lake Norden in Lake Norden.
His Memorial Service will be held on Saturday at 2 p.m. at Huron Christian Church with burial at Riverside Cemetery in Huron. Visitation with his family present, will be from 5 to 7 p.m. this evening at Welter Funeral Home in Huron. A prayer service will begin at 6:30 p.m.
Darwin Duane Christman was born on Jan. 31, 1955, to parents, Don and Judy (Busch) Christman in Lincoln, Neb. He grew up in Huron, graduating from Huron High School in 1973.
Darwin worked for the City of Huron in the Water Department for many years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family. Darwin married Donna Croop in Huron on March 14, 2003.
He is survived by his wife, Donna of Huron; his children, Marty (Sarah) Christman of Glendive, Mont., Katie (fiancé, Alex Pinela) Christman of Huron; step-sons, Shad Huehl and Jesse Huehl, both of Huron; and step-daughter, Mellissa (fiancé, Jason Gednalske) Burmeister of Huron; several grandchildren; brother, Jason (Bobbi) Hauck of De Smet; and sister, Kelly (Steve) Graves of Sioux Falls.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Steve Christman.
