BROOMFIELD, Colo., — Delbert ‘Del’ Christensen, 95, passed away Thursday, September 17, 2020, at his residence in Broomfield, Colo.
A memorial service will be held in Arvada, Colo., today.
Burial services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Cresbard Cemetery with military honors.
Delbert was born July 11, 1925, to Martin and Bertha (Hansen) Christensen in Faulkton.
He married Eileen Wherry in 1953. They worked on the family farm until 1967, when they moved to Denver with their five children.
Del is survived by his children, Mark; and grandson, Andrew; Matthew; Dana (Lynn), and grandsons Ryan Volz, Joshua, and Jonathan; Linda Sanchez-Steinke (Dave Steinke) and grandchildren, Stephen Sanchez, and Stephanie Sanchez; Lorna (Bert) Andrews and grandchildren, David, Michael (Jill), Timothy, and Beth; sisters-in-law, Donna Roth and Mavis Wherry.
He was preceded in death by his wife and two brothers, Victor and Elroy.
