FAULKTONā€ˆ— Donald Brewer, 83, of Faulkton, passed away Thursday, August 9, 2018, at the Faulkton Senior Living.
A Memorial Mass will be 10:30 a.m., Thursday, August 16, at St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Faulkton. Burial will follow in St. Thomas Catholic Cemetery. A prayer service will be 6 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home.
Donald was born November 21, 1934, in Faulkton to Joseph Andrew and Theresa Janet (Sundermeyer) Brewer. He graduated from Faulkton High School in 1953, and began his life-long career in the farming industry.
He enjoyed trap shooting, cowboy shooting, hunting, reading, watching Westerns, bowling, and making deer jerky. He was also a life-long member of the NRA, St. Thomas Catholic Church, Faulk County Gun Club, and the Single Action Shooting Society. He served on the NRCS Board and as a county commissioner for 16 years.
He is survived by his brothers, Leo Brewer, and Timon “Mike” Brewer; numerous nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; and great-great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Joseph, William Emil, Francis, and Archabold “Archie” Brewer; sisters-in-law, Madalin Brewer, Gladys Brewer, and Ferna Brewer; and nephews, Michael Brewer and James Brewer.
Luce Funeral Home of Faulkton has been entrusted with Donald’s arrangements.
