HURON — Donna Madsen, 73, of Huron, passed away Saturday, August 5, 2017, at her cabin on West Whitlock Bay near Gettysburg.
Her Memorial service will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, August 9, at the Welter Funeral Home. Visitation, with the family present, will be from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday.
Donna Louise Snow was born December 16, 1943, in Faulkton to Norv and Emma (Carda) Snow. She attended various schools before graduating from Redfield High School in 1961. She graduated from the Aberdeen School of Commerce and worked as a bank teller for several banks including the Farmers and Merchants Bank of Huron. She also worked at the Plainsman Newspaper, the Aberdeen American News, South Dakota Job service and American Family Insurance.
She was united in marriage to LeRoy Madsen October 13, 1984.
She is survived by her husband, LeRoy; children, Steven (Judy) Stahl of Huron, and Brian Madsen, and Barbara (Jason) Dewan both of Wassila, Alaska; 14 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; siblings, Norva (Dennis) Rausch of Gettysburg, Joanne Spindler of La Crosse, Wis., and Chris (Kirk) Sargent of Wessington; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Brenda Potter; granddaughter, Selby Potter; brother-in-law, Larry Spindler; and sisters-in-law, Kathy Larsen, and Roseanne.
