MILLER — Edna Hochhalter, 98, of Miller, passed away Sunday, April 14, 2019, at the Good Samaritan Society in Miller.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, April 17, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Miller. Burial will be in G.A.R. Cemetery in Miller at a later date. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the funeral service.
Edna Cora Albrecht was born November 27, 1920, in Mound City to Philip and Christina (Schaffer) Albrecht. She was united in marriage to Rudy Hochhalter September 24, 1938. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Miller and the VFW auxiliary.
She is survived by her stepchildren, Madora Bahr of Warrenton, Ore, and Wayne (DeMaris) Hochhalter of Cedar Falls, Iowa; 15 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 16 great-great-grandchildren; and neighbors, Kervan and Jane Vander Wey.
She was preceded in death by her husband; eight siblings; son, Russell Hochhalter; step-son, Harlen Hochhalter; grandchildren, Alan Bahr, Barbara Rude, and Molly Nelson; grandsons-in-law, John Bonefas and Scott Briddle; and two great-grandchildren.
