WOONSOCKET — James ‘ Jim’ William Grassel, 57, of Woonsocket, passed away at his home  Thursday, October 15, 2020.

A Celebration of Life service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, at the Woonsocket Community Center, with Terry Olson officiating, followed by a Jim appropriate send off.

Private burial service will be held at a later date.

Jim was born in Mitchell, to Theodore and Delores (Ischen) Grassel March 24, 1963.
Jim graduated from Woonsocket High School and Mitchell Tech.

Jim married Luci Olson June 25,1983.

Grateful for sharing his life are his wife, Luci; sons, Jared (Rebecca) Grassel, Jackson (Jessi) Grassel; and daughter, Shelby (Andy) Johnson; five grandchildren; sisters, Cheryl (Bill) Ball, Vicki Miller, Jackie (Everett) Evers; and many nieces and nephews.

Jim was preceded in death by his father, Ted; mother, Deloris; step father, Norval Mathis; sister, Jolyn Forbes; and brother in law, Richard Miller.
