WOLSEY — Jan Rearick, age 73, of Wolsey, passed away Monday, March 26, 2018, at the Redfield Care and Rehabilitation Center.
His memorial service will be 5:30 p.m., Friday, March 30, at the Bonilla Presbyterian Church at Bonilla. Visitation with his family present will be from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Friday at the church.
Jan Rearick was born July 15, 1944, at Huron to Clinton and Leora Rearick. He attended Bonilla schools from kindergarten through graduation. He then attended Huron College and studied business.
He was united in marriage to Vivian Kaye DeJong in 1967. He picked up milk for years, before farming for the Meyer family southwest of Bonilla. In 1982, the family moved to Wolsey. He enjoyed farming, hunting, fishing, trap shooting, good cooking and his grandchildren.
He is survived by his children, Tamey (Julie Bent) Rearick, Peggy (Tracey) Beals, and Jon (Alesha “Jonesy”) Rearick; siblings, Larry, Craig (Judy), Anita (Bruce) Kopplin, and Candy (Dan) Whittet; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and many cousins, uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and son, James Richard Rearick.
