Joyce N. Peterson, age 76, of Huron, passed away Monday, Sept. 23, 2019, when her daughter, Lorna, came and led her Home, with her three best men at her side. Her funeral service will be at 10:30AM, Friday, at the First Presbyterian Church. Burial will be at 1:30PM, Friday in the Collins Cemetery at Willow Lake, with fellowship to follow at the Lake Gospel Church, Willow Lake. Visitation is today from 1-7PM, at the Kuhler Funeral Home, with her family present from 5-7PM, and a prayer service at 6PM this evening.
Joyce Nadine Baumann was born Aug. 5, 1943, to Walter and Buretta (Elwood) Baumann, on the Baumann farm north of Raymond. She graduated from Raymond High School in 1961.
On April 21, 1962, she married Larry D. Peterson at Willow Lake. In 1964, they moved their family to Huron where they resided the rest of her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Lorna Poncelet; siblings, Joanne (Dick) Nuttbrock, Ruby (Tom) Gross, Wayne (Bonnie) Baumann and Donald (Sandy) Baumann; brother-in-law, Ray Pearson; and nephew, Johnny Pearson.
Survivors include husband, Larry Peterson of Huron; sons, Dave (Brenda) Peterson of Huron and Sjur “Ed” (Renée) Klaette of Oslo, Norway; son-in-law, Jeff Poncelet of Ramona; sister, Edna Pearson; 7 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. www.kuhlerfuneralhome.com
