REDFIELD — Judy Ann (Groft) Masat, 69, of Redfield, passed away Saturday, July 8, 2017, at Community Memorial Hospital in Redfield.
Judy has been cremated and her memorial service will be 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, July 12, at the United Methodist Church in Redfield. Visitation will be Tuesday, from 3 to 7 p.m. at Thelen-Hyke Funeral Home in Redfield. A prayer service will follow at 7 p.m. Family will accept condolences beginning at 5 p.m.
Judy Ann Groft was born April 11, 1948, in Redfield to LeRoy and Bertha (Beardemphl) Groft. She graduated from Redfield High School in 1966. She was united in marriage to Wilbur (Bert) Masat July 10, 1966. The couple lived on the family farm until they moved to Redfield in 2009.
She was involved in many community organizations. She was a Sunday school teacher, a 4-H Leader, and served on boards of both the United Methodist Church and Good Samaritan Center.
She is survived by her husband, Bert; daughter, Sheila Hansen of Aberdeen; son, David (Gena) Masat of Redfield; grandchildren, Jake Hansen, Sawyer Hansen, Lizzie Hansen, Sonja (Austin) Muellenberg, Stetson Zens, Sutton Masat and Sully Masat; sister Bonnie (Terry) Eszlinger, of Las Vegas, Nev.; and her precious dog, Rudy.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Thelen-Hyke Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
