RAPID CITY — Kathryn Ann Gubka, 61, of Rapid City, passed away  Wednesday, July 15, 2020, after an almost one year battle with cancer.

Her life will be celebrated with a memorial held at the Crossroads Event Center at 1 p.m., on Sunday, August 16. Lunch will be served afterwards in the Event Center and burial will follow after.

We ask those attending the memorial service to please observe social distancing and wear face-coverings inside.

Kathryn was born on August, 16, 1958, in Grand Rapids, Mich. After graduating high school in 1974, she became a truck driver and traveled the country.

Kathryn had a love for Schnauzers, such as her dog, Moe, and had a passion for crocheting.

She married Paul Gubka in 1990.

She is survived by her two children, Hillary, and Wayne (Summer); siblings, Lauretta Myers, Jim (Christine) Bott, and Ken (Connie) Bott.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Kathryn Bott.
