HURON — Laura Lynn Feldman, 41 of Huron, passed away Saturday, November 18, 2017, at her home in Huron after a courageous battle with cancer. 
A celebration of Laura’s life will be from 2 to 4 p.m., Saturday, November 25, at the Welter Funeral Home in Huron with a prayer service to begin at 4 p.m. Burial will be held at a later date.
Laura L. Feldman was born July 14, 1976, in Montevideo, Minn. to Kenneth and Jan (Kjersten) Feldman. In 1984, Laura and her family moved to South Dakota where she attended school and graduated from Wessington High School in 1995. She worked as a Registrar for the Girl Scouts from 1999 to 2007, when she began working as dispatcher for People’s Transit until 2011.
She is survived by her sons, Payne and Cody; mother, Jan Feldman of Sioux Falls; father, Ken Feldman of Minn.; siblings, Rick Feldman of Renville, Minn., and Chad Feldman of Ipswich, and Carie (Levi) Fry of Woonsocket; uncle, Terry (Mary) Kjersten of Sacred Heart, Minn.; three aunts, Barb Kjersten of Granite Falls, Minn., Elaine (Jim) Stachowski of Minn., and Jean Wilson of Calif.; grandma, Arde Kjersten of Renville, Minn., and grandparents, Ray and Adelaide Feldman also of Renville, Minn.; and her nieces and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Glen Kjersten; uncle, Andy Kjersten; and aunt, Eunice Tebben.
