To the Editor:

Well, it’s February all ready, so most of the winter is passed... we hope. This month I have some interesting news on what is really going on at our southern border, and also a question.

The Senate is close to working out a bipartisan deal that would allow the President more authority on the border.

That would give them the authority to shut it down. Our friend the Trumpster is urging the GOP to defeat the bill. This would allow the chaos at the border to continue, so the Trumpster can use it as a campaigning issue against President Biden. The Speaker of the House Mike Johnson said the bill would be “dead on arrival” when it reached the House, as he, and many other Republicans, are Trump supporters.

President Biden said this about the bill, and I quote “It would give me, as President, a new emergency authority to shut down the border when it becomes overwhelmed. And given that authority, I would use it the day I sign the bill into law.”

Let’s think about this. The Republicans are willing to let the thousands of people to continue crossing the border just for a campaigning point, rather than shut it down for the betterment of the country. Trump said “we can’t let the Democrats have a victory.”

Don’t believe me? Just look it up.

I have another question to ask all of you readers. If you have been found guilty of sexual abuse, as Trump was found guilty against E. Jean Carroll, wouldn’t that make you a “sex offender,” and have to register as one? Could the only reason be that the trial was in a civil court, and not a criminal one?

He’s still a sex offender to me.
