SIOUX FALLS — Linda DuBois, 68, of Sioux Falls and formerly of Holabird, passed away unexpectedly Monday, October 30, 2017, in her home doing what she loved, watching one of her grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, November 4, at the United Methodist Church in Highmore. Burial will follow in the Highmore Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Friday with a 7 p.m. prayer service all at Luze Funeral Home in Highmore.
Linda was born on February 9, 1949, in Pierre to Otho and Elfriede Buchholz. She graduated from Highmore High School in 1967, and attended Dakota State College earning her teacher’s certificate. She was united in marriage to Jerry DuBois June of 1969. She helped her parents operate the Holabird Texaco Station, Grocery and Post Office. She had been active in the 4-H Club, Hyde County School Board, United Methodist Church, S.D. Cattlewomen’s Association. She is survived by her husband; daughter, Sarah (Rob Hollan) DuBois; five grandchildren; siblings: Doris (Gary) Knox, Roger (Diane) Buchholz, and Marty (Nyla) Buchholz; sister-in-law, Evie Reints of Huron; mother-in-law, Roberta DuBois of Highmore; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and father-in-law, Wayne DuBois.
Luze Funeral Home of Highmore has been entrusted with Linda’s arrangements.
