HURON — Lois K. Serfling, 77, of Huron, passed away Saturday, May 5, 2018, at the Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls.
Her funeral service will be 11 a.m., Thursday, May 10, at the Welter Funeral Home in Huron. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Welter Funeral Home.
Lois K. Farnam, the daughter of Arthur E. and Minnie M.(Scouten) Farnam, was born April 26, 1941, in La Moure, N.D. where she attended school. Lois was a homemaker. She also enjoyed sewing Charlotte Dolls for the Laura Ingalls Wilder Gift Shop in DeSmet.
Lois loved going on trail rides and taking care of her horses, Nika and Dreamer. She also loved her cats. Lois loved family get-togethers and spending time with her family and friends.
Grateful for having shared in Lois’ life are her daughter, Lori (Daniel) Huber of Huron; five grandchildren, Michael (Grace) Christensen of Huron, Bobbi Wollman of Menno, Adam (Jackie) Huber of Marion, Nicole (Brock) Cigelske of Cummings, N.D., and Rachel Huber of Huron; eight great-grandchildren, Brandon, Justin, Mackenzie, Darian, Sierrra, Grayson, Miyah, and Miilayza; brother, Don Farnam of Huron; three sisters, Jean Peterson of Worland, Wyo., Betty Chapin of Madison, and Bonnie Jensen of Lovell, Wyo.; and several nieces and nephews.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Shirley Shanahan; grandson, Andy Wollman; and brothers-in-law, Ron Jensen, Duane Chapin, and Harry Burlum.
