ST. LAWRENCE ­— Mary McCartney, 91, of St. Lawrence, passed away Tuesday, December 18, 2018, at Avera Dougherty Hospice House in Sioux Falls.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Friday, December 28, at the United Church of Canistota in Canistota. Visitation will be 2:30 p.m., Friday at Reck Funeral Home, Miller followed by a 3:30 p.m. committal service. Private burial will be in G.A.R. Cemetery at Miller.
Mary Irene was born May 4, 1927, to Fred and Ada (Hanson) Abbott. She spent her early years in Arkansas and moved to South Dakota when she was 13.  She was united in marriage to Roy McCartney September 15, 1946. She worked as a home health aide for several years. She was united in marriage to Ward Goodall. She moved to the manor in Miller until she moved in with Doreen in 2016.
She is survived by her children, Gene, Doreen, and Kim (Cathy); siblings, Edna Barnett, Donna Henson, Deanna Harrison, Earl and Robin Abbott; many grandchildren; great- grandchildren, great-great grandchildren; and several nieces, and nephews.
Reck Funeral Home of Miller has been entrusted with Mary’s arrangements.
