AUSTIN, Texas — Mary (Stahl) Retke, 90, of Austin, Texas, passed away Monday, July 16, 2018, in Austin.
At Mary’s request, there will be no service and she will be interred in Ft. Sheridan Cemetery at Lake Bluff, Ill.
She was born February 20, 1928, in Huron to Jacob and Susan Stahl. She graduated from Huron High School in 1945, where she was an outstanding athlete. She worked for Braniff Airlines, and an investment firm in Chicago, Ill. before moving to Austin, Texas.
She is survived by her son, Neal (Janet) Retke; granddaughter, Amber Retke; brother, Elmer (Joy) Stahl; sister, Darlene (Wilmer) Buller; and cousin/best friend, Connie (Dean) Harris.
She was prededed in death by her husband, Don Retke; son, Todd Retke; brothers, Jake, Joe, John, and Paul Stahl; and sister, Ann Stahl.
