CRESBARD — Patricia Nipp, 85, of Cresbard, passed away Sunday, July 1, 2018, at the Faulkton Senior Living.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, July 10, at Concordia Lutheran Church in Cresbard. Burial will follow in the Cresbard Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday at Luce Funeral Home in Faulkton.
Patricia Lou (Herman) Nipp was born October 19, 1932, in Java to Reinhold “Reinie” and Laura (Nelson) Herman. She attended school in Bowdle, graduating in 1950. She continued her education at Northern State College earning a teaching certificate in 1952.
She was united in marriage to Harlan Nipp December 13, 1953. The couple lived on the Nipp family farm near Loyalton, until moving to Wecota in 1962. The family moved to Cresbard in 1982. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in education in 1984, and began teaching for the Cresbard School District, retiring in 1997. She was a member of Immanuel and Concordia Lutheran Churches, the VFW and American Legion Auxiliaries and the Cresbard Red Hatters.
She is survived by her children, Marilora Nipp of Cresbard, Monte (Dawn) Nipp of Langford, and Marlin (Carla) Nipp of Pierre; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brother, Kenneth; and sister, Carol.
Luce Funeral Home of Faulkton has been entrusted with Patricia’s arrangements.
