REDFIELD — Patricia “Pat” B. Haider, 85, of Redfield, passed away in Sioux Falls, Thursday, June 8, 2017.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, June 13, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Zell. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Zell. Visitation will be Monday, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Thelen-Hyke Funeral Home in Redfield. A Scriptural Rosary Service will follow at 7 p.m. Family will be present to accept condolences beginning at 6 p.m.
Pat was born March 23, 1932 in Conde to Virgil and Eva (Wettstein) Holm. She graduated from Orient High School in 1950. She was united in marriage to Leo Haider March 28, 1951.
She worked at James Valley Nursing Center in Redfield for 19 years. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary, St. Mary’s Altar Society in Zell and St. Bernard’s Altar Society in Redfield.
She is survived by her children, Mary Saathoff of Estelline, Steven Haider, James (Peggy) Haider, Jean (Jim) Esser, John Haider all of Redfield, and Sharol (Mike) Binger of Tulare; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; siblings, Charles (Maxine) Holm of Rapid City, Margaret Moncur of Miller, and Shirley Jungwirth of Zell.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo, and her brothers-in-law, Wayne Moncur and Terry Jungwirth.
