CAVOUR — Reggie Roy, 38, of Cavour, passed away Monday, December 17, 2018, at his home due to complications from diabetes.
A celebration of life will be 5:30 p.m., Friday, December 21, at the Kuhler Funeral Home. Visitation will be 1 to 5:30 p.m., Friday at the Kuhler Funeral Home.
Reggie Alexander Roy was born January 14, 1980, in Bismarck, N.D. to Carol Roy and Matthew Peck. He attended Huron High School and had worked for Service Master, Overbuilt, Dakota Provisions, and with an independent contractor as a mail carrier. He was united in marriage to Amy VanOverschelde August 12, 2007.
He is survived by his son, Alex, and Alex’s mother, Amy Roy of Huron; mother, Carol (Tom) Gietzen of Huron; father, Matthew Peck of Sioux Falls; stepsiblings, Ben (Abby) Gietzen of Watertown, and Kristin (Corey) Haisch of Alcester; uncles, Richard Roy of Cavour, Ron (Laurie) Roy of Huron, Dennis (Jodie) Roy of Castlewood, and Duane (Leanne) Roy of Huron; aunts, Cheryl Wheeler of Sioux Falls, Kathy Watson of Bismarck, N.D., Alexis (John) McEnelly of Huron, and Beth (Greg) Wilcox of Sioux Falls; and many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Alexander and Joyce Roy; and two uncles-in-law.
