HURON – Richard E. Crutchfield, 51, of Huron, died March 24, 2017, at Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls.
He was cremated and his memorial service will be held at 7 p.m., Wednesday, at the Kuhler Funeral Home.
Richard Eric Crutchfield was born on December 13, 1965, at Independence, Kan., to James L. and Mary (nee Scott) Wolfe.
In 1986, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and went through five weeks of training and was honorably discharged.
He moved to Huron where he worked as a bar tender and later started a cleaning service “Celestas Towers.”
Survivors include his daughter, Vykky (Mike Juelfs) Amlaner of Huron; his sons, Travis (Alona) Eckhardt of Huron, and George (Cassie Waters) Eckhardt of Sioux Falls; several grandchildren; his parents; his brothers, James Learl Crutchfield Jr., James Leroy Crutchfield, Emanuel Donnell, and Jarrod Crutchfield; his step-brother, Randy; his sisters, Shante Derrington, Willetta, Sylvia and Beatra; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, grand cousins and great-grand cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
