HURON — Rick Wensel, 69, of Huron, passed away Monday, October 7, in Boise, Idaho surrounded by family.
A remembrance will be held in Huron, Monday at 6 p.m., at Godfathers Pizza.
Born in Socorro, N.M., Rick moved to Watertown as a young child and where he grew up. After serving with the Army in Vietnam, Rick returned back to Watertown and started a family. Rick would later move to Huron, working at the Dakota Central Processing and Distribution Center. Rick had a love for the outdoors, spending time camping, canoeing, fishing, or biking. In his later years, he found great joy being with his granddaughters and having coffee with friends.
Rick will be fondly remembered by his children, Rich (Becky), Derek (Bobbi), Jesse (Lauren), and Abby (Ron). Sisters, Laurie and Cindy.; Six granddaughters: Helen, Lucy, Ellie, Marli, Lily, and Charlotte.
A remembrance will be held in Huron at 6 p.m. Monday, at Godfathers Pizza.
