WILLOW LAKE — Wava A. Kretzschmar, 91, Willow Lake, passed away Friday, May 25, 2018, in a Watertown care facility.
Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, May 30, at Willow Lake Evangelical Lutheran Church. Burial will follow in the Collins Cemetery at Willow Lake. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., Tuesday at the church and will continue on Wednesday morning after 9 a.m.
Wava Arlene Seefeldt was born October 16, 1926, in rural Clark County to Fred and Sadie (Miller) Seefeldt. She attended rural school west of Willow Lake.
She was united in marriage to Donald Kretzschmar June 16, 1946. The couple lived and farmed in Hague Township for 45 years, retiring in 1994, and moving into Willow Lake where she continued being very active at her church and in the community, attending many events.
She is survived by her children, Linda (Bryce) Collins of Willow Lake, Peg (Dale) Jorgensen of Sioux Falls, Verdon (Judy) Kretzschmar of Custer, Rodell (Desiree) Kretzschmar of Willow Lake, and Pam (Kendall) Borg of Garretson; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; sons, Verlin and Kevin.
Funeral arrangements are with the Furness Funeral Home at Clark where there is an on-line registry.
