HURON — Mary Helen Kuni, 71, of Huron, passed away Tuesday, December 26, at Huron Regional Medical Center.

A private family service will be held Thursday, Jan. 4, with burial at St. Martin Cemetery.

Mary was born Aug. 7, 1952, to Robert and Helen Kuni.

She attended school in the Huron Public Schools. She was employed for several years at Lyda’s Hobby Shop, then at the Plainsman, Hardees, and Pizza Hut. She has lived for the last 20 years in homes run by the Center for Independence, most recently at Butler House and Lincoln House.

Mary is survived by her sister, Kathy; niece, Caitlin Bowra (George); grand nephew, Forrest; great friends, Chris and Kerry Hofer, Paula Kingery; many loving cousins and her CFI family and friends.  

In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in Mary’s honor to the Center for Independence, Huron.
